Turkish Republic is preparing for the World Championships among men and women in fire and rescue (fire-applied) sports

May 16-19 2017 in Izmir (Turkish Republic) were held negotiations on the preparations for the XIII World Championship among men and IV World Championship among women in fire and rescue (fire-applied) sports.

The delegation consisting of the Director of the Executive Committee of the International Sport Federation of firefighters and rescuers Andrey Kalinin and members of the Ground Jury met with the mayor of Izmir Aziz Kocaoglu, the head of the Fire Department Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Serdar Yucel and the director of Izmir Fire and Rescue Department Ismail Derse.

During negotiations it was confirmed about the readiness of the World Championship in fire and rescue (fire-applied) in Izmir, the support and cooperation of state and municipal services in the matters concerning them, working meetings were held in the Fire Department of the Municipality of Izmir.

The competition venues were also examined, checked the presence and condition of fire-fighting equipment, calculated the territory for the installation of the training complex, spectator stands, areas of doping control, the Secretariat and accommodation for sports teams.

The Executive Committee of the Federation is assigned a number of tasks on preparation and carrying out of competitions that need improvement, making decisions and coordination.
