The XXI International Conference was held
On 8 December 2020, the XXI International Conference of Heads of Fire and Rescue Services of Ministries, Departments, Associations, Member Federations of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers took place in online Conference. Representatives of Fire and Rescue Services of 27 countries from around the world took part in the conference:

A unanimous decision by all members of the International Federation was taken by the State of Qatar, led by Hamad Othman Al Dehaimi, Director General of Civil Defence. Qatar is the first country to join the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers in the Arab Middle East.
The Syrian Arab Republic has joined the ISFFR.
For the first time, countries such as Serbia participated as observers, led by Miloslav Milickovic, State Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Interior. Mr Milickovic delivered a welcoming speech, thanking all the participants of the conference and also spoke about the possible soon entering to ISFFR.
For the first time, the Republic of Slovenia took part in the conference as an observer.
We thanked the People's Republic of China for the welcome speech of Mr. Qiong Se - member of the Party Committee of the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan for the welcome speech of the Minister of Emergency Situations Mr. Ilyin, Belarus for the welcome speech of the Minister of Emergency Situations Mr. Vashchenko.
The conference adopted a new edition of the Statutes (taking into account the suggestions made); amended the Regulations of international competitions in the context of the continuing risk of spread of COVID-19; approved the budget, the Plan of the main sport events for 2021. Particular attention was paid to the organisation and delivery of the 2021 World Championships in a pandemic environment.
The work of the Sports and Technical Committee, the Disciplinary and Anti-Doping Committee and the Sports Disciplinary Commission was highly commended by the ISFFR member nations.
