The Republic of Tunisia decides to join the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers
On 4 August 2022 in Moscow (Russian Federation) a meeting was held between Andrey Kalinin, Director of the Executive Direction of the International Association "International Sports Federation of Fire fighters and Rescuers", Tarak Ben Salem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Tunisian Republic in the Russian Federation and Beshir Langara, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Tunisian Republic.
Within the framework of the talks there were touched upon the issues of cooperation in the field of fire and rescue sport and joining of the Tunisian State to the International Sports Federation of Fire fighters and Rescuers (ISFFR), which unites 33 countries of the world at the moment. Such a wide geographical coverage shows that fire and rescue sport is developing rapidly.
Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia informed of Tunisia's interest in cooperation with ISFFR, because the events held by ISFFR are a unique platform for the exchange of best practices in emergency response and familiarization with the latest fire and rescue equipment.
In his turn, Andrey Kalinin stressed that the accession of Tunisia to the ISFFR will enable the Republic of Tunisia to host the World Championship among firefighters and rescuers in the future.
