The Frankenburg Firefighters sports team adequately represented Austria at the German Championship

From July 30 to August 3, 2025, the Frankenburg firefighters sports team took part in the German Fire Sport Championship, held in the city of Torgau (Saxony). The team performed on behalf of the Republic of Austria, representing the national team in the international arena.

Despite the difficult weather conditions and forced losses due to injuries, the athletes demonstrated a high level of training and achieved impressive results: 

• 3rd place in the 4×100 meters relay.
• 2nd place in combat deployment.
• Two participants advanced to the semifinals of the competition in climbing the ladder.

The event was attended by the head of the federal competitions, Brandrat Hannes Niedermayer from the Upper Austria Fire Union, who personally appreciated the professional level of the organization and the performance of the team.

The Championship has become an important stage for determining the best Austrian team and preparing for the upcoming World Championship, which will be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) at the end of October.
