The dates for the XXI World Championship among men and the XII World Championship among women in fire and rescue sport in Baku officially rescheduled to the period from November 2 to 8, 2026

As part of the preparations for hosting the XXI World Championship among men and the XII World Championship among women in fire and rescue sport in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the new dates for the main international competitions of the year have been adjusted.

Previously, the championships in the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku, were scheduled for the period from October 4 to 10, 2026 The new dates for the competitions are November 2 to 8, 2026.

Competition program

National teams from around the world will traditionally compete for sets of awards in four key disciplines:

• November 4 - Climbing the hook ladder into the windows of the
• training tower
• November 5 - Overcoming 100-meter obstacle course
• November 6 - Fire relay 4x100 meters
• November 7 - Combat deployment

The Executive Directorate of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers has already begun sending updated registration forms and regulations to national federations. Preliminary applications from men's and women's national teams shall be submitted by September 2, 2026.
