Results of the International Fire and Rescue Sport Competition for the Cup “Friendship” and the prize “Golden assault ladder”

The International competitions in fire and rescue sports for the Cup “Friendship” and the prize “Golden assault ladder”, which brought together the best athletes from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, have come to an end in Volgograd.

The hero city of Volgograd received athletes and guests of the competition with special warmth and hospitality, creating all the necessary conditions for new sporting achievements and heights. In four days, Volgograd residents were able to see the full power of fire and rescue sports. The strongest athletes of our country and neighboring countries demonstrated physical fitness and the highest sports achievements in such disciplines as climbing the assault ladder to the 4th and 2nd floors of the training tower, overcoming the 100-meter obstacle course, fire relay and combat deployment.

On the second day of the competition, the participants competed in overcoming the 100-meter obstacle course. And only the strongest athletes with the best results in a hard struggle became participants of the final race.

Ilya Bondarenko (Republic of Belarus) showed the best result among men. Silver was won by Ilya Naumov (Republic of Belarus). The bronze went to Nikita Ukolov, also from the Republic of Belarus. The obstacle course was also conquered by the fair sex. As a result of a stubborn struggle, Anastasia Galichanina (the Russian Federation) won. The second place was taken by Alexandra Poshvenchuk from the Republic of Belarus. Ekaterina Chendakova, an athlete from Russia, took the third place.

On May 21, athletes competed in the fire relay at the athletics stadium of the Volgograd State Academy of Physical Culture. This type of program is exclusively a team one, each participant must clearly represent their task and complete it as quickly and correctly as possible. Only when all athletes act together, the ultimate goal is achieved – victory!

In the most spectacular and dynamic type of competition - the fire relay, the best result was shown by the men's national team of the Russian Federation with a result of 55.03 seconds. The silver medalists were the team from the Republic of Uzbekistan, showing a result of 56.89 seconds, and the bronze - the team of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a result of 57.68 seconds.

Among the women's national teams, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place – the national team of the Republic of Belarus (60.72 sec.);
2nd place – the national team of the Russian Federation (61.22 sec.);
3rd place – the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan (63.46 sec.).

On May 22, athletes competed on treadmills for victory in combat deployment. This team discipline became the final stage of competitions in fire and rescue sports.

Men and women performed combat deployment from a motor pump: they laid a main sleeve line and “hit” targets with a jet of water. This set of exercises clearly demonstrates the most important professional skills of firefighters.The Russian national team won the gold medal in the sports discipline Combat deployment among men. Silver went to the team from Uzbekistan, and the honorary Bronze to athletes from the Republic of Belarus.

Among women, the best result in the Combat deployment was demonstrated by representatives of the Russian national team. The second place was taken by athletes from the Republic of Belarus. The third place belongs to the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the team competition among men, which took into account the results in all disciplines, athletes from the Republic of Uzbekistan took the third place, representatives of the Republic of Belarus won silver medals. The winner was the team of the Russian Federation.

Among women in the team competition, the places were distributed as follows: athletes from the Republic of Uzbekistan took the third place, representatives from the Republic of Belarus won the second place, and the first place was taken by the national team of the Russian Federation.

The closing ceremony was held in the New Experimental Theater of the hero City of Volgograd. On behalf of the Governor of the Volgograd Region, representatives of foreign delegations, guests and organizers were congratulated and thanked for the grand sports festival, and athletes were wished new achievements and victories!

The closing ceremony of the International Competitions in fire and rescue sports ended with the celebration of athletes and coaches.

The best athletes from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan took part in the competitions. For four days, Volgograd residents observed the performance of various disciplines of fire and rescue sports.
