Opening of the XXII International Conference

The 12th-16th International Conference of Heads of Fire and Rescue Services of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers is taking place in the Republic of Uzbekistan from 12 to 16 November.

In Tashkent, representatives from 28 countries discussed the development of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, international cooperation, as well as the organization and holding of next year's World Championships in fire and rescue sport.

The President of the International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers noted the importance of the global movement of fire and rescue sport in the international arena.

Every year the ranks of its fans are being swelled, new championships and world records are being set. Developing international sport we unite and strengthen firefighters and rescue forces of the world community and in this way we contribute to solving common tasks of preventing emergency situations and saving human lives

The International Sports Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers plays a key role in this process, setting the vector of development of fire and rescue sport and actively promoting the profession of firefighter and rescuer.
Andrei Kalinin, Director of the Executive Committee, addressed the Conference with his report for the year 2021.  He thanked the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Kazakhstan for hosting the World Championships. These World Championships have added another page to the history of fire and rescue services in the world community.

New world records were approved in the sports disciplines of fire and rescue sport among men, women, boys, juniors and girls. The sporting titles of international category judges in fire and rescue sport were awarded to representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Croatia. For the moment ISFPS has 122 judges of the international category. 

 Another important issue of the Conference was the change of organisational and legal form of the Federation. On 9 November 2021 the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation issued a certificate of registration of the International Association "International Sports Federation of Fire fighters and Rescuers".

The special attention of participants of conference was given to organization and holding the World Championships in 2022, the video presentations about realization of the World Championships in 2022 in Samarkand (Republic of Uzbekistan) and in Brest (Republic of Belarus) were presented.

A highlight of the first day of the Conference was the presentation of membership certificates to the ISPSF by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, the Slovak Republic Fire Sport Association and associated members - "Aifex Technology" and "Simvent".

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Federation, Alexander Chupriyan presented the Heads of the Fire and Rescue Services of the MSFPS member countries with anniversary medals "XX anniversary of the International Sports Federation of Fire fighters and Rescuers".
