Negotiations in Italy

May 31, 2018 in the city of Rome (Italian Republic) held talks on further cooperation in the field of sports with the participation of the delegation of the Executive Committee of the International sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers and representatives of the National corps of firefighters of the Italian Republic.

Director of the Executive Committee of the International sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers Andrey Kalinin met with Professor Fabrizio Santangelo, who is responsible for all sports activities of the national fire corps of the Italian Republic and fire protection engineer Luca Michelino.

The talks were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. According to Mr. Fabrizio Santangelo, to create a system of training in fire sport Italian firefighters will need 2 years. Director of the Executive Committee A.P. Kalinin offered assistance in the training of the Italian team of members of the International sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers. Given the fact that the service of the Italian Republic consists mostly of professional firefighters, fire and rescue sports can get great recognition and development prospects.

This meeting served the development of fire and rescue sports on a global scale, strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between the Executive Committee of the International sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers and the fire service of the Italian Republic.

As a result of the negotiations, an official invitation will be sent to the head of the national corps of firefighters of Italy: Gioacchino Giomi, at the XIV world championship among men and the V World Championship among women in fire and rescue sports, which will be held from 10 to 16 September 2018 in Banská Bystrica (Slovak Republic).
