Negotiations were held with the Director General of Civil Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

On January 22-25, 2023, negotiations on cooperation in the field of fire and rescue sports took place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh city. The delegation, headed by the Director of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers Mr. Andrey Kalinin, had a meeting with the Director General of Civil Defense Mr. Hammoud bin Suleiman Al-Faraj.

As a result of bilateral negotiations with representatives of the Civil Defense of Saudi Arabia, agreements were reached on cooperation in the field of fire and rescue sports, the organization of the learning and training process, the preparation of the Saudi Arabian sports team to participate in the world championships in fire and rescue sports and other international events held under the auspices of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, the creation of the Training Center for Fire and Rescue Sports of Middle Eastern countries in Riyadh city on the basis of the Civil Defense Training Center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the organization and holding of the World Fire and Rescue Championship in 2026.

During the visit, the delegation of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers inspected the sports facilities and infrastructure of the Fire and Rescue Service of Riyadh city, which is part of the Civil Defense.

This meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and served to strengthen friendly relationship between the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers and the Civil Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
