Fire and Rescue Sport Gala in the Slovak Republic

The members of the board of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers were honored to participate in a gala event organized by the Slovakia Fire Sport Association. The gala evening was dedicated to the further development of fire and rescue sport in the Slovak Republic and celebrated the exceptional sporting achievements of young Slovak athletes in fire and rescue sport. The evening also honored veterans, coaches and athletes of Slovak fire and rescue sport.

The guests and participants of the gala were welcomed by Mr. Rudolf Huliak, Minister of Sport of the Slovak Republic; Mr. Andrei Kalinin, Director of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers; Mr. Jan Borievka, President of the Slovakia Fire Sport Association; and Mr. Jan Donič, Head of Bozpo.

The evening also included awards presentations to the winners of the Slovak Fire Sport League in various categories, from the youngest firefighters to the youth.

To commemorate this important event a celebratory cake was baked with the Gala's logo.

Since a long while the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers has been supporting the development of fire and rescue sport in the Slovak Republic.

During the event, a working meeting was held with the Minister of Sport of Slovakia, where a wide range of issues were discussed, including the development of fire and rescue sport in the Slovak Republic, the participation of Slovak national sports teams in the World Championships in fire and rescue sport and other international events held under the auspices of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers. The organization and holding of World Championships among boys and male juniors, girls and female juniors in fire and rescue sport in the Slovak Republic was discussed as well.

The International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers expresses its gratitude to Mr. Rudolf Huliak, Minister of Sports of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Jan Borievka, President of the Slovakia Fire Sport Association, Mr. Jan Donič, Head of the Bozpo company, and to all those who participated in such a significant and large-scale event.
