A delegation from the Executive Committee of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers visited the State of Qatar

    A delegation from the Executive Committee of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers took part in the "MILIPOL Qatar 2021" International Exhibition from 15 to 17 March 2021. The exhibition is the largest thematic event in the Middle East and is dedicated to showcasing the latest technology in fire, security and civil defence field. Within the framework of the exhibition, negotiations are being held between the Director of the Executive Committee Andrei Kalinin and the Head of the Civil Defense of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Qatar - General Hamad Othman Al-Dehaimi.

    The bilateral talks resulted in agreements on cooperation in the field of fire and rescue sport, organization of the training process, preparation of the Qatari national sports team for the XVI World Championship on Fire and Rescue Sport to be held in 2021 in Karaganda (the Republic of Kazakhstan) as well as the potential World Championship on Fire and Rescue Sport to be held in Qatar in 2024. Due to the growth of the ISFFR member-countries, the State of Qatar will be the first country in the Middle East to respectable represent its country at international competitions in field of fire and rescue sport.

    The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and served to strengthen the friendly ties between the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers and the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar. The highlight of the event was the presentation of a certificate confirming the membership of Qatar's firefighters and rescuers in the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers.

    Also, the delegation of the Executive Committee visited the Qatar Police Sports Federation. At the meeting, detailed issues were raised on the preparation of the Qatar sports team for the upcoming World Championship. An agreement was reached on further fruitful cooperation with the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers.
