The delegation of the Civil Defense of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of Qatar visited the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers

On June 2, 2023, the delegation of the Civil Defense of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of Qatar paid a working visit to the office of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers.

During the working visit, the Qatari delegation also took part in the XIV International Salon "Integrated Safety & Security Exhibition – 2023". The exhibition is the largest exhibition project, where modern achievements in the field of fire safety are presented.

As part of the exhibition, Qatari colleagues led by General Ahmad Othman N. Al-Dehaimi, Director General of the Civil Defense of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of Qatar, visited the SOPOT Scientific and Production Association. As a result of negotiations, agreements were reached on cooperation in the field of fire safety.

The working meeting of the General of the Civil Defense of the State of Qatar, Mr. Al-Dehaimi, and the First Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Russian Federation, Mr. Al-Malki, with the Director of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, Mr. Andrey Kalinin, was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and served to strengthen friendly relationship between the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers and the Civil Defense of the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar. The meeting touched upon issues related to the participation of the Qatari delegation in the World Championships in fire and rescue sports in Istanbul this year, the preparation of the Qatar national team and the holding of the 2025 World Championships in fire and rescue sports in the State of Qatar (Doha city). Thus, the State of Qatar will be the first country in the Middle East region to host such a significant international sports forum.

For its part, the Executive Directorate of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers is ready to provide full support to Qatari colleagues in holding such a large-scale event.
