Announcement of the International Competitions in Fire and Rescue Sport for the Cup «Friendship» and the prize «Golden Assault Ladder».
From May 17 to May 23, 2023, on the basis of the stadium of the Volgograd State Academy of Physical Culture (Volgograd, Lenin Ave., 78), under the auspices of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, there are be held International Competitions in fire and rescue sports for the Cup «Friendship» and the prize «Golden Assault Ladder». The grand opening of the International Competitions will take place on May 19, 2023 at 17.00 on the Lower Terrace of the 62nd Army Embankment.
For many years, Sberbank PJSC has been the General Sponsor of International Competitions in fire and rescue sports.
The objectives of the competition are to implement international sports cooperation and strengthen friendly ties with fire and rescue services around the world, to promote and demonstrate the level of professionalism of firefighters and rescuers, to develop further and to popularize the profession of firefighter and rescuer, to prepare for the XVIII World Championship among men and the IX World Championship among women in fire and rescue sports.
The national teams of men and women in fire and rescue sports of the member countries of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan are scheduled to participate in the competitions.
Firefighters and rescuers will demonstrate physical fitness and the highest sporting achievements, tangible in the fight for human lives! No wonder the fire and rescue sport is considered to be a sport of the strong, agile and brave.
Competition program
May 17 - Arrival of teams, accreditation of sports delegations
May 18 - Commission for admission of athletes, testing of sports equipment, meeting of representatives of teams and the Main Judging Panel
May 19 - Climbing the assault ladder to the 4th and 2nd floors of the training tower (preliminary and final races), the grand opening of the competition
May 20 - Overcoming the 100-meter obstacle course (preliminary and final races)
May 21 - Fire relay 4x100 meters
May 22 - Combat deployment
May 23 - Departure of the teams
