A working meeting was held with the Deputy Director of the Police Department of Fire and Rescue of the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
On April 8, 2026 in Hanoi at the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam took place negotiations between Andrey Kalinin, Director of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers (ISFFR) and Hoang Ngoc Huynh, Deputy Director of the Police Department of Fire and Rescue of the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The issues of the further cooperation in fire and rescue sport, the completion of Vietnam's accession to the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers, and the participation of the Police Department of Fire and Rescue sport delegation in the upcoming World Championships in Fire and Rescue Sport in the Republic of Azerbaijan (Baku) from October 4-10, 2026 were discussed.
The working meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. During the negotiations, issues of cooperation in fire and rescue sport, the prospects of hosting in the 2028 World Championships in Fire and Rescue Sport in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the preparation of the national team of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for participation in the world championships and other international competitions were discussed.
In his turn, Deputy Director Hoang Ngoc Huynh presented the activities of the Police Department of Fire and Rescue of the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and asked the ISFFR to inform the Police Department of Fire and Rescue about the main areas of ISFFR's activity, including preparations for the World Championships in Fire and Rescue Sport in Baku.
During the negotiations, the parties confirmed good prospects for cooperation in fire and rescue sport.
Colleagues from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam expressed they interest in collaborating with the ISFFR as the events, conducted by the ISFFR, provide a unique platform for strengthening friendship and exchanging of the experiences between firefighters and rescuers from different countries all over the world.
