Results of the International Fire and Rescue sports Tournament in Minsk

From June 19 to 24, 2023, Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, hosted International competitions in fire and rescue sports for the cup of the Public Association Belarusian Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports, in which the sports teams of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus took part.

On June 20, the sports base of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus hosted the grand opening of International competitions for the cup of the Belarusian Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports. The strongest firefighters and rescue athletes were welcomed by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus – Mr. Vadim Sinyavsky, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia – Mr. Alexey Serko, Chairman of the Belarusian Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports – Mr. Alexander Khudoleev, President of the Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports of Russia – Mr. Sergey Kudinov and Director of the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers – Mr. Andrey Kalinin.

For four days, the strongest athletes competed for the championship in climbing the assault ladder to the 2nd and 4th floors of the training tower, overcoming the 100-meter obstacle course, the 4x100 meter fire relay and combat deployment.

By the way, the international competitions for the cup of the Belarusian Federation of Fire and Rescue Sports are the next stage in the preparation of participating teams for the World Cup, which will be held this year in Istanbul.

The international competitions were held in the best traditions of the world firefighting fraternity, which will contribute to the further development and strengthening of international relations and cooperation in the field of sports, the development and popularization of fire and rescue sports, as well as the improvement of professional and athletic skills of rescue athletes.

In a difficult and persistent struggle, the names of the tournament champions were determined. No wonder the fire and rescue sport are considered a sport of the strong, agile and brave.

Among the men's national teams, athletes of the Republic of Belarus deservedly took the first place on the podium. The representatives of the fair sex of the Russian Federation vividly demonstrated their beauty and grace, taking the second team place.

The winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, diplomas, medals and valuable gifts.

It is worth noting that throughout all the competition days, the athletes waged an honest and uncompromising struggle and showed the highest results in all types of the program. Congratulations to the winners and prize-winners of the competition!
